Festival Information

Bloomington Heritage Days’ goal is to build a stronger community through the promotions of celebrations, educational programs, citizen volunteerism and the preservation of community. The BHD festival is a daylong event held on the third Saturday in September with activities, events, contests and shows scheduled until midnight. Dozens of civic organizations, businesses, community groups and nearly 400 volunteers are involved in the planning of Bloomington Heritage Days.

THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE FOR THE FESTIVAL. All of the necessities and most of the professional entertainment, activities and shows are funded through sponsorships. There are a few fee-based activities and events: main act on the main stage, trampolines, animals, henna tattoos, food, etc.

The festival takes place on the corner block of 98th Street and Lyndale Avenue in the US Bank and Applebees parking lot.
